Scrummy Saturday // Marinara Sauce

Hey Lovelies,


  • Two tins of chopped tomatoes 
  • Five fresh diced tomatoes
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Rock Salt
  • Two garlic cloves
  • Fresh Basil

First things first is to dice the tomatoes and garlic, after the tomatoes are diced, you need to slice two cloves of garlic.  The garlic is then popped into a pan with some olive oil, when it starts to become pale gold and fragrant add the fresh tomatoes to soften slightly.

Then add the two tins of tinned tomatoes, the salt and the sprig of fresh Basil, before seasoning and leaving to simmer for 30 minuets. 

This sauce is perfect on pasta, a real family fave but as you can see from my lunch, you can use it with anything!


  • One poached Egg
  • Two slices of Walnut Bread (or bread of preference)
  • Three Supersweet Chiquino Peppers
  • Marinara Sauce

After poaching your egg, lay it on your toast, then surround it with your warm peppers and cover in a little Marinara Sauce, then you have it, the perfect scrummy healthy lunch.
