Quick and Easy Pizza

Hey Lovelies,
Here is one for all you foodies out there, now before I begin I'm going to but a mini disclaimer out there, this obviously is nothing compared to eating a proper Italian pizza, and doesn't have a yummy dough base (although next time I make a proper pizza with some scrumptious homemade pesto I will post the recipe as it is to die for) but if you what something quick and light and want to avoid the stodgy take away pizzas or calorie laden super market alternatives then this is a fab little recipe. 

Ingredients:


  • Flat bread or tortilla
  • Tin of tomatoes
  • Mozzarella 
  • Fresh Basil
  • One Tomato
  • Salt
  • Garlic clove
  • Toppings of choice



The first thing to do is make the tomato sauce, to make this yumminess, grab one can of tinned tomatoes, drain the liquid and keep all your little tomatoes.
Pop the drained tomatoes into a blender/food processor and add some fresh chopped basil,  a clove of garlic and a teaspoon of salt then blend.

After you have blended your sauce you then need to slice your mozzarella and any other toppings, I went for sweet pepper and tomato but the world is your oyster.  Once everything is ready lay your base of choice on a tray spread the tomato sauce on the top and lay on your toppings. 




Always have to garnish!

Once your pizza is put together, and looking scrummy pop it in the oven at around 160 for 6-8 mins depending on your oven.  Serve with a lovely summer salad and enjoy alone or with friends.
